CÔTES DU RHÔNE – CLAÏAS – RED 2014


The name of the wine vintage comes from the name of the vineyard plot “Claïas” in Provençal “Clapas” matching the low dry stone walls.

Grape varieties : Syrah 50%, Grenache 40%, Mourvèdre 10%

Degree :13,5°
Land : Southern exposition, clay-limestone soil.

Culture : Organic Agriculture. We cultivate our vineyards without fertiliser, insecticides or herbicides. Organic conversion in 2011. Manual wine harvests. Yield: 42 hl/ha.

Wine Making Process : The grapes collected at maturity are stemmed. The grape varieties are vinified separately. The fermentation and the maceration last 18 days, at a controlled temperature of 26°C. At the start of December the two grape varieties are brought together. Throughout the wine-making process and the maintenance, by working meticulously we limit the use of sulphites.

Description :  It is a perfect wine to accompany a meal: leg of lamb or roast lamb, beef meat, duck and chicken, accompanying vegetables. Cheese with flavour and character. Storage: This wine can be kept for seven to eight years.
